The Heart of Winemaking

Our Commitment to Quality

We are dedicated to crafting premium wines that embody the essence of the Barossa Valley. With a focus on quality, sustainability, and the preservation of old vines, we strive to create wines that reflect the region’s rich history, distinctive terroir, and the dedication of the people who tend the vines. Our winemaking process is rooted in both tradition and innovation.

The Winemaking Process

Vineyard and Wine Philosophy
Capturing the distinctive essence of Barossa’s rich viticultural landscape is at the heart of every Langmeil wine, crafted with dedication and a unique style. We are committed to producing premium Barossa wines, believing that the secret lies in the vineyard itself. By nurturing biodiversity and fostering strong relationships with local grape-growing families, we ensure the success of our wines and the community that makes them possible.

Crafting the Wines

Chief Winemaker, Paul Lindner, blends old-world and new-world techniques, with minimal filtration and intervention to fully express the grape’s potential. This approach allows us to harness the subtleties of each variety and the unique microclimates of our region, resulting in fruit-driven wines with elegant complexity.

From Vine to Bottle

Our Old Vine Garden and Village wines are hand-picked and gently processed, with the juice transferred to open fermenters for careful extraction and temperature regulation. After fermentation, the wines undergo malolactic fermentation before maturing in a combination of new and seasoned American and French oak barrels for 12 to 24 months, ensuring each wine reaches its fullest expression before bottling.

"We embrace minimal filtration and forgo fining to preserve the true character, quality, and longevity of our wines."
