We are very excited to start preparing for our very first despatch for the
Old Vine Gardeners Wine Club, taking place mid-October.

Hello

Most famous for his surrealist paintings, Salvador Dali's extensive artistic repertoire included design, film, graphic art, photography, sculpture, writing critiques, essays, fiction and poetry. In paying homage to his genius, a critic once wrote that Dali's diverse talents and passion made him a 'great advocate for the things that matter'. To Dali's mind, wine was one of those things.

Likewise, once-touted as the most influential wine critic of our time, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate team has recently savoured a range of Langmeil Winery wines and revealed the secrets they tasted therein. The appraisal of Joe Czerwinski, 'the foremost American authority on Australian and New Zealand wines', was most complimentary. He wrote, 'the entry-level wines, Hangin' Snakes, Three Gardens and Offspring, represent great values, while even the very top-end stuff, The Freedom 1843 and Pure Eden Shirazes, are reasonably priced in the context of old-vine, cellar-worthy Barossa reds. These are big, bold wines that don't skimp on flavour or texture yet show a remarkable amount of elegance and nuance.'

I'll draw your attention to our offer page for their scores and finer details with the caveat that sadly, The Freedom 1843 Shiraz 2017 and 2018 are no longer available.

Trusting you too may come to taste secrets.

Surreally yours,

Jonathan Bitter
Cellar Door Manager
