2009 'Jackaman's' Cabernet Sauvignon

Jackaman’s Vineyard is Langmeil’s finest and rarest Old Vine Garden Cabernet. Planted last century and lovingly tended by the colourful Barossan Arthur Jackaman, a World War II paratrooper, boxer and butcher who passed his small plot into Langmeil’s care upon retirement.

Colour: Deep crimson with purple hues.

Aroma: Lifted blackcurrants and blueberry aroma entwine with biscuit French oak and hints of black olive and liquorice.

Palate: Bright, juicy fruits flow onto the palate which is medium to full bodied. Some herbaceous notes mingle with spicy tones and sweet fruit is well balanced with firm but fine tannins which lengthen the fruitful and textured finish.
