Dare I wish you a happy New Year? It's certainly been a less than auspicious start! At least here in the Barossa, we haven't had the scorching heatwaves of recent years, although I note our friends in the west certainly have while the east coast has been waiting for the sun to shine both physically and metaphorically.
Traditionally it would be a time of year to settle back into some semblance of normality after the altered routines of the festive season. However, it's increasingly difficult to define normal. At such times we can often find solace in the simple things that connect us to the earth. Good food and the humble fruit of the vine.
To this end, as has become our New Year custom, we hope to offer some assistance by taking a leaf out of the Travelling Wilburys playbook and going to the end of the line!
