2009 Fifth Wave Grenache
The Fifth Wave is one of Langmeil’s most treasured Old Vine Gardens inspired by the fifth generation of our family in the Barossa. Planted in the middle of the last century, The Fifth Wave is our ‘call to arms’ to protect, preserve and celebrate the best of the Barossa.
Langmeil’s commitment to our treasured Barossa Old Vine Gardens is embodied in The Fifth Wave Grenache. This wine is testament to the unique character of this vineyard, but also to the determination and independent vision of the Lindner family, who have farmed in the district for six generations. Once an abandoned Old Vine Garden in Lyndoch, The Fifth Wave vineyard was rescued and rejuvenated by Langmeil, in all likelihood the first time Grenache from this time honoured Old Vine Garden had been truly prized – The Fifth Wave was born.
