As Christmas approaches it brings with it that sense of magic - that time of year we hope to put the years trials, tribulations and general business aside and for just a few weeks, or even just the day itself, experience the feeling Charles Dickens encapsulated when writing of a "Happy Happy Christmas' winning us back to the delusions of our childhood days... transporting the traveller back to his own fireside and quiet home!". (Well maybe not the fireside in Australia but we know what he means!).  Each year we look for the return of that special feeling.

Those of you who follow us on Facebook may think Christmas came a little early at Langmeil recently when a 20 year vertical tasting of The Freedom Shiraz left us with just such a 'special' feeling.  Among the many exceptional vintages, one that stood out in particular was the 2006.  Predicted to be one of the great vintages while it was still being picked, ten years on, the pundits have been proved correct by many South Austalian wines and the 2006 Freedom is no exception. 

Sadly we were unable to lay too many bottles aside at the time but as a Christmas treat we would like to share what we can.  As such we are briefly offering this 10 year old vintage at the price of $200 per bottle (no further discount).  The catch?
