Langmeil Wine Club.
Always have good wine on hand!

Dear //FirstName//

The English writer Robin Leach once touted “In Italy they add work and life on to food and wine”.

This adage perhaps goes some way to explaining why the maternal line of Langmeil’s Lindner Family are so at home in the Barossa. Having emigrated from Northern Italy in the 1930s, the Della Mina family were ultimately joined in marriage to the Lindners and a mutual love of food and wine made a future in the wine industry inevitable!

Enter the 2016 Della Mina. Paying homage to his maternal lineage, winemaker Paul Lindner has blended two classic Italian varieties in the form of Sangiovese (86%) and Barbera (14%) to create a dangerously drinkable food friendly wine. With hints of rose petal and musk on the nose, cherry and raspberry fruits on the palate and a well-balanced savoury and spice finish, the medium-bodied Della Mina is a perfect match with cured meats, grilled vegetables and traditional tomato based dishes such as Bolognese. During our recent heatwave we were even known to chill it down for added enjoyment (all in the name of science of course!). Personal bias aside, the Della Mina has just made its first foray into the world of international wine shows, impressively taking silver in the recent Berlin Wine Trophy. If you would like to sample a few yourself, take advantage of our introductory 6 pack offer.

Speaking of offers, we were overwhelmed with the response to our February end of run opportunities. Large numbers of orders combined with delayed shipping (due to heatwave conditions) saw deliveries taking up to a fortnight in some instances, so thanks to all concerned for your patience. All of the ‘end of runs’ have now gone bar a handful of cases (9 to be exact) of 2015 Malbec so jump in quick on these if you missed or need some more.

Vintage 2018 is now underway if you’d like to come and see things in action and if not I’ll give you a run down on how its all progressing in the next email!

Ciao Bella!
