It seems like only yesterday I was penning Christmas wishes and here we are nearly halfway through February with the madness of the festive season behind us for another year.  Having come and gone so quickly you could be forgiven for wondering if it had happened at all, but a sure indicator to us was the depleted stock of the Barossa's traditional Christmas tipple, Sparkling Shiraz!

While fortunately able to cover Christmas and New Year, we were sold out by the second week of January much to the disappointment of many particularly on Australia Day. I have a 'let me know when it's back' list as long as my arm so please accept this as official notification to all that this cellar door favourite is once again available with apologies for the three week hiatus! Order here.

As things return to normal February can often be something of a recovery month and if you're anything like me you may be faced with the unfortunate dilema of both a diminished wine rack and bank balance!  If you do find yourself looking to restock without blowing the budget we've got a couple of end of run opportunities that may just suit your needs. Please note however, that as two of these are not cellar door wines, by their nature stocks are very limited so when they're gone, they're gone!

While we welcome a few quieter weeks, we know it is merely the calm before the storm of vintage. Come March and April the Barossa will again be a hive of activity as all hands turn to the 2017 harvest. There is quite simply nothing as enchanting to a wine lover as a winery visit during vintage. If you are able I encourage you to come and see the grapes on the vine, bathe in the aromas of fermenting fruit and just soak up the ambience of it all!

For now I'll extend my belated wishes for a happy new year and will touch base again in March to let you know how vintage 2017 is progressing.
