Sparkling Wines
The development of Langmeil's Sparkling wines was very much an organic evolution of a wine style, more out of a personal love for the wine, as opposed to consumer demand. What began as simply producing a wine for the family, gradually gained reputation amongst the Langmeil faithful and within a short time both of these sparkling wines were produced using méthode champenoise, with bottle fermentation and no less that two years on its lees before being disgorged.
The words "méthode champenoise" refer to a sparkling wine that is produced by fermentation in the bottle and aged on its lees for not less than two years, after which time the wine is separated from its lees by disgorging. Such is this wine.
